FINAL FANTASY X/X-2 HD Remaster guide · The river crossing with the shoopuf

The party travels to the Moonflow to cross the river using a giant creature called a Shoopuf. While crossing underwater, Tidus and Wakka must fight an Al Bhed war machine to rescue Yuna. After reaching the north bank, the party recruits Rikku as a permanent guardian before moving onward to Guadosalam.

High evasion flying insect best handled by Wakka.

Bunyip

Weak to FireSteal / drop Hi-Potion

Armored creature that Auron can easily pierce.

Gandergowa

Steal / drop Electro Marble

Floating magic-using eyeball enemy weak to physical piercing attacks or Wakka's blitzball.

Ochu

Weak to FireSteal / drop Antidote

Strong plant enemy that can inflict poison and sleep on the entire party.

Shops and people

Oaka XXIII: Sells standard restorative items, Phoenix Downs, and specialized weapons/armor with various status-inflicting or status-warding abilities.

Tips

Cast Haste on both Tidus and Wakka during the Extractor battle to deal enough damage to interrupt its Aqua Shooter.
Use Rikku's Steal command immediately after she joins to gather useful synthesis items and eliminate Machina enemies in one hit.
