Mideel (Lifestream Incident)

FINAL FANTASY VII guide · The village after the Lifestream event

Returning to Mideel with Tifa reveals that Cloud's condition hasn't improved, but an earthquake triggers an emergence of the Lifestream and a confrontation with Ultimate Weapon. After surviving the boss encounter, the village collapses into the earth, plunging Cloud and Tifa into the Lifestream where Tifa reconstructs Cloud's true memories. Successfully restoring Cloud's identity allows the party to reunite and proceed back to the Highwind with Cloud reinstated as party leader.

Tips

Equip the party with Earth-resisting gear or Materia linked with Elemental to nullify Ultimate Weapon's Quake2 attacks.
You do not need to reduce Ultimate Weapon's HP to zero; dealing around 25,000 damage or waiting several turns will cause it to end the battle and fly away.
