The Last of Us™ Part I guide · Meeting Henry and Sam

After escaping the sewers, Joel, Ellie, Henry, and Sam arrive in an abandoned suburban neighborhood outside Pittsburgh. Players explore looted houses for supplies and interact with environmental set pieces before coming under fire from a sniper at the end of the street. Joel must flank through the backyards and residences to neutralize the sniper, then defend the group using the scoped rifle from waves of Hunters and Infected.

Appears in the street during the final defensive stand; keep Ellie and the others covered from the sniper window

Tips

While advancing on the sniper, stick to the interiors and back alleys on the left side of the street to avoid direct sightlines from the sniper rifle.
During the sniper rifle defense sequence, prioritize Hunters rushing Henry and Ellie first, as their deaths cause an immediate game over.
