You must navigate through the armed survivors, reach the exit to protect Ellie, and escape following a critical story event where Joel is severely injured.

Armed human enemies who enter the building in groups, carrying firearms and melee weapons to sweep the corridors.

Tips

Use hearing mode immediately after the cutscene on the top floor triggers, as scavengers will spread out through the lab hallways and can easily flank you.
Bricks and bottles scattered around the top-floor offices are useful for stunning approaching scavengers to conserve ammunition before the forced combat sequence.
When supporting Ellie during the escape, prioritize targets directly blocking your path toward the exit doors rather than trying to clear every enemy in the area.
