Resident Evil 2 guide · Initial entry and exploration of the main hall and surrounding rooms

Upon entering the RPD through the front doors, you search for an escape route and find a laptop showing a trapped officer in the East Area. Opening the shutter with the main hall console leads you into the dark corridors to retrieve the officer's notebook, triggering the full exploration of the police station's ground floor. Your main goal becomes collecting the three Goddess Statues medallions to unlock the secret exit beneath the main hall.

Standard infected officers; shoot knees to cripple or aim for headshots to stagger.

Tips

Use wooden boards to barricade open windows in the ground-floor western hallways to prevent additional zombies from breaking in.
Shooting zombies in the legs to take them down saves far more ammunition than trying to destroy their heads early on.
The map highlights rooms in red if any uncollected items remain, and turns blue once completely cleared.
