Resident Evil 2 guide · Returning to the lab areas after the G-Virus is obtained
← All areas in this guide

After obtaining the G-Virus sample (or Antiviral Agent as Claire) from the West Area, the facility's self-destruct sequence triggers. Players must backtrack through the West Area, pass through the Main Shaft, and use the central lift to access the Bottom Level/escape shaft before time runs out. The path leads through changing environment hazards directly toward the final boss encounters of the campaign.

Tips

  • Do not spend valuable magnum, flame round, or grenade launcher ammunition trying to fully kill Ivy zombies while escaping the West Area; stun them and run past.
  • During Leon's Super Tyrant fight, focus on surviving and disrupting his charge attack with heavy weapons until Ada drops the Anti-Tank Rocket.
  • For Claire's fight against G Phase 4, wait for the cluster of eyes to emerge across its torso before unleashing the Minigun to maximize damage.
