Snowy Mountain Pass

DARK SOULS III guide · After progressing from the Painted World of Ariandel bonfire

This treacherous mountain area connects the Corvian Settlement and snowy cliffs to the depths of the painting and the chapel. Players must navigate winding icy crags, crumbling precipices, and dense clusters of Corvian enemies to unlock crucial shortcuts back to earlier bonfires. Careful footing and fire weapons are key to surviving the aggressive ambushes along the cliffside paths.

Giant Fly

Weak to FireSteal / drop Bloodred Moss Clump

Infests the lower areas and inflicts rapid bleed buildup upon grabbing the player

Tips

Carry Bloodred Moss Clumps or equip the Bloodbite Ring to survive the lower insect-infested caverns.
Fire-infused weapons or pyromancies will stagger the giant fly creatures and panic torch-wielding Followers.
Listen closely for the whistling sound of Millwood Greatarrows to dodge explosive projectile attacks before they land.
