DARK SOULS III guide · After crossing the bridge from the Catacombs

Players arrive in this snowy, moonlit city after defeating High Lord Wolnir and must present the Small Doll to pass the entrance barrier. Navigating the streets and sewers leads upward toward the central cathedral to defeat Pontiff Sulyvahn. Beyond the church, the path crosses an open courtyard populated by sleeping Giants and continues up the rooftops toward Anor Londo.

Irithyllian Slave

Weak to Fire, Lightning

Can turn semi-invisible and wields cleavers or shoots soul darts.

Silver Knight

Weak to Lightning, FrostSteal / drop Silver Knight set, Titanite Shards

Stationed with Dragonslayer Greatbows across the high rooftops past the courtyard.

Pontiff Sulyvahn

Weak to Parrying, Fire, ThrustSteal / drop Soul of Pontiff Sulyvahn

Dual-wields a Greatsword of Judgment and Profaned Greatsword, summoning a phantom clone in phase two.

Greirat the Thief: Can be sent here to scavenge; will die unless saved by either Siegward of Catarina or Unbreakable Patches.
Archdeacon McDonnell: Found in the Water Reserve chamber; offers membership in the Aldrich Faithful covenant.

Tips

A Small Doll looted from the Cathedral of the Deep is strictly required to pass the barrier on the bridge.
Parrying Pontiff Sulyvahn's opening jumping slash makes the first phase significantly easier to manage.
Light the Central Irithyll bonfire immediately after crossing the bridge to avoid re-fighting Sulyvahn's Beast if you die.
