The short version
What matters
- •Buying Liberl News - Issue 7 immediately upon arrival, as the market attack permanently cuts off access to it.
- •Selecting optimal dialogue options ("They seemed scared", "Organize First", "You're a coward", and handing Orvid Monster Dung) to maximize BP gains.
- •Using defensive shields (Earth Wall/Gaia Shield) and stat debuffs (Kaempfer) to completely counter Ancient Dragon Ragnard's devastating breath and sweep attacks.
Common mistakes
- •Boarding the Arseille before finishing side quests like The Missing Lady, Imperial Request, and The Rarest Flavor, which locks you out of completing them.
- •Leaving treasure chests behind in Caves 1 through 6 of the Ancient Dragon's Dwelling, as the entire cavern becomes inaccessible once the chapter wraps up.

Bose Arrival and Market Preparations
After landing at Bose Landing Port on the airliner from Rolent, head into the City of Bose and report to Guildmaster Lugran at the Bose Bracer Guild. Browse the Bose Market right away to pick up local foods like Golden Risotto, Flame Tongue Stew, Corner Castella, Refresh Jelly, and Fevered Gaze, and find Orvid near the south market entrance to start his request. While exploring, speak with Duke Dunan and Butler Phillip to handle the Imperial Request, and remember to pick up Gambler Jack - Vol. 7 from an NPC around the market or hotel.
Tip: Secure your reading materials and stock up on regional meals before triggering any major regional story events.
Watch out: You must buy Liberl News - Issue 7 at the Bose Market right now, as it becomes permanently missable once the dragon attacks.

Regional Bounty Hunts and Side Quests
Set out along the West and East Bose Highways to complete the three mandatory bounties located at Krone Pass / Krone Trail, Amberl Tower, and Nebel Valley, while also taking the time to catch Roast Fish and Rampage Fish across the region. Along the Krone Pass checkpoint, confront the runaway noblewoman during The Missing Lady quest and choose "You're a coward" for bonus BP, then hand over Monster Dung alongside the Elder Peaches when delivering ingredients to Orvid for extra points. When engaging the aggressive Gospel-frenzied beasts, exploit their individual elemental weaknesses while suppressing them with area-of-effect crowd control like Clock Down and Chaos Brand.
Key fight: Bounty TrioTip: When Lugran asks what seemed off about the three story bounty monsters, answer "The Monsters Were Afraid / They seemed scared" to claim the maximum +3 BP.
-
3
Bose Market Attack and Reorganization
Return to the city to find that the Ancient Dragon has struck, collapsing sections of the Bose Market into rubble. As chaos erupts in the streets, opt to "Organize First / Make a plan first" to secure +3 BP instead of rushing in recklessly. Afterwards, head to the Frieden Hotel and Kirsche Bar where displaced vendors have taken refuge, and speak with Minuet on the Frieden Hotel 2F to purchase Liberl News - Special Edition.
Tip: Consult with Mayor Maybelle and Lila to stay updated on the town's status and coordinate relief efforts.

Boarding the Arseille and Nebel Valley Trek
Board the royal cruiser Arseille at the Landing Port to plan "Operation Capture the Dragon" alongside General Morgan, Professor Russell, and Cassius Bright. Next, travel to Nebel Valley and visit Whelmer at his mountain hut to learn the route leading into the beast's lair, taking the western fork into the cavern network. Along the trails, defeat the Gold Spinner by equipping petrify-nullifying accessories like Pearl Earrings against Wonder Blaze and punishing its 130% Wind weakness with spells like Aerial or Sylphen Wing.
Key fight: Gold SpinnerTip: Make sure all regional requests, side quests, and merchant errands are completed before you board the cruiser or advance into Nebel Valley.
Watch out: Boarding the Arseille and pushing into Nebel Valley permanently cuts off access to previous towns, regional shops, and pending side quests.

The Ancient Dragon's Dwelling
Traverse the multi-floor cave network of the Ancient Dragon's Dwelling, looting chests for an EP Charge and Buster Gear along the northwest path of Cave 1, followed by a Teara Balm and Ebony Shoes in Cave 2. Continue through Cave 3 to collect another EP Charge, the Aerondight blade, and a Rainbow Surprise, then crack open Cave 4 for caches of Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind Sepith before claiming a Reviving Balm, a Tearal Balm, and the Taiji Garb / Ceram Armor in Cave 6. Reach the deepest sanctum to confront the controlled Ancient Dragon Ragnard, setting up continuous barriers via Earth Wall, Gaia Shield, or Kevin's Grail Sphere while having Kloe debuff its stats with Kaempfer, keeping Tita back with Smoke Cannon support, and utilizing Agate's Wild Rage into Dragon Dive S-Crafts.
Key fight: Ancient Dragon RagnardTip: Defeating Ragnard breaks the Gospel's hold, triggering an appearance from Enforcer II Leonhardt (Loewe) and concluding Chapter 5.
Watch out: Every treasure chest inside the Ancient Dragon's Dwelling is permanently missable if left unopened before Chapter 5 ends.
