The short version
What matters
- •Speak to Rudi right inside the tunnel from ZCF B1F to acquire +3 Bonus BP.
- •Answer "It was both" when asked how the tremor compared to Wolf Fort for another +3 Bonus BP.
- •Pick up the Yin-Yang quartz by finishing the Missing Guest quest if you have the prerequisite FC save data.
Common mistakes
- •Focusing the male Whale Frogs first in the bounty fight allows the female to summon reinforcements and cast healing spells; eliminate the female Whale Frog immediately.
- •Entering the Divine Penguin encounter without confusion protection will leave your party crippled by Penguin de Samba status effects.
What you can skip
- •Do not waste physical attacks on Jet Tortoises; use Earth or Water arts instead.

1
Starting the Investigation at the Factory Threshold
Begin the main quest "Earthquake Investigation" by talking to Faye in the ZCF B1F workshop, then proceed into Kaldia Tunnel where you will find the apprentice Rudi. Talking to Rudi reveals reports of a suspicious man wearing sunglasses in the tunnel, earning you bonus Bracer Points. Before continuing deeper into the subterranean passage, ensure you are geared for recommended levels Lv. 46 to Lv. 52.
Tip: Talk to Rudi immediately at the blue marker near the entrance to gain +3 Bonus BP.
Watch out: Skipping the dialogue with Rudi will forfeit the +3 Bonus BP for the Earthquake Investigation quest.

2
Clearing the Main Tunnel to the First Junction
Advance down the main corridor of Kaldia Tunnel, searching treasure chests along the path to collect Frog, Mirage Ring, Gemini Boots, EP Charge, Deathblow 2, Teara Balm, and Insulating Tape. You will face standard field enemies such as Cave Rays, Damp Crawlers, Fly Skippers, Jet Tortoises, Bubble Blowers, and Faerie Epitaphs. Use ranged arts or crafts to eliminate swift Cave Rays before poison stacks up, and target high-defense Jet Tortoises with Earth or Water arts.
Key fight: Standard Field Enemies (Kaldia Tunnel)Tip: Area-of-effect elemental arts work well against groups of standard tunnel monsters.
-
3
Deploying the Seismograph at the Underground Bridge
Continue to the first junction where you will spot an Orbment Charging Station and a Fishing Spot beside the underground bridge. Interact with the bridge marker and choose to set the measuring device to place Russell's seismograph transmitter without incident. This placement triggers a dialogue event involving Anelace and Agate (or Schera).
Tip: Rest and recover HP/EP at the Orbment Charging Station before exploring further.

4
Hunting the Kaldia Tunnel Monster on the Western Fork
Head down the western fork leading toward the Air-Letten Checkpoint to locate the wanted bounty. Engage the pack consisting of four male Whale Frogs and one female Whale Frog. Target the female unit first with Fire and Wind arts to stop her from summoning reinforcements and casting buffs, while using large-area spells like Aerial to clear the heavy-hitting males.
Key fight: Bounty: Kaldia Tunnel MonsterTip: Male Whale Frogs are weak to Wind arts like Aerial, while the female should be focused down quickly.

Synthesizing Clues at the Guildhouse
Report your findings back at the Bracer Guild to analyze the earthquake occurrences. When presented with the earthquake comparison query ("How does this one compare to Wolf Fort?"), respond with "It was both" to point out that both the tremors and the sound differed. This correct deduction yields bonus BP.
Watch out: Choosing "The tremors were different" or "The sound were different" causes you to miss out on +3 Bonus BP.

Rescuing the Missing Guest in Kaldia Limestone Cave
Venture into the Kaldia Limestone Cave branch from the tunnel fork to tackle the "Missing Guest" quest. You will confront a massive flock of enemies including the Divine Penguin, King Penguin, two Green Penguins, two Pink Penguins, and two Baby Penguins. Wear anti-confusion accessories and unleash 200 CP S-Breaks or large AoE spells right away to clear the agile minions before isolating the Divine Penguin, earning 5 BP, 5,000 Mira, and the Yin-Yang quartz if clear data was imported.
Key fight: Post-Chapter 2 / Chapter 3 Transition Boss: Limestone Cave ('Missing Guest')Tip: Fire off 200 CP S-Breaks immediately to quickly eliminate the penguin adds before they dance.
Watch out: Failing to import Clear Data from FC with the 'Secret of the Old Map' quest completed locks you out of obtaining the Yin-Yang quartz.
