The short version
What matters
- •Buying Liberl News - Issue 7 immediately from Rinon upon arriving in Rolent.
- •Grabbing Gambler Jack - Vol. 7 and Vol. 8 during their narrow Rolent dialogue windows.
- •Walking the exact Mistwald maze sequence without failure to earn +3 Bonus BP.
- •Equipping Sleep-negating gear before fighting the Alraunes at Perzel Farm and Luciola at the Servais Tree.
Common mistakes
- •Selecting incorrect deductions during the coma investigation. Always choose "No witnesses" and "Luke collapsed" to avoid missing bonus BP.
- •Heading off to Mistwald before speaking with the NPC holding Gambler Jack - Vol. 8, which permanently voids the endgame Zemurian Ore weapon.
- •Overlooking the Range Quartz / Range 1 chest located directly North after the halfway dialogue marker in the Mistwald maze.
What you can skip
- •Avoid targeting the Guilder Quake with standard physical melee strikes, as it possesses complete immunity.
- •Avoid using broad, untargeted party-wide AoEs against Luciola's beasts due to their split physical and magical immunities.
Walkthrough
The area in the order you play it. Tick things off as you go: they tick off in the checklists below too.
-
1
Arrival in Rolent
When your passenger airship makes an emergency landing due to the unnatural fog, head immediately into town and report to Aina at the Rolent Bracer Guildhouse for your briefing. Visit Rinon’s General Store right away to buy your current reading material, and stop by Melders Orbal Factory or Abend Bar if you need supplies like Miso Extract from the counter.
Tip: Prepare your quartz setups early at Melders before heading out into the field.
Watch out: Miss Liberl News - Issue 7 at Rinon’s General Store now and you will lose the chance once you progress past this arrival window.
-
2
Scouting the Boundaries and Towers
Check the fog boundaries along Elize Highway (passing the Bright Family Residence toward Gurune Gate), Milch Main Road toward the Verte Bridge, and Malga Trail toward the Malga Mine and Water Cave. During your field travels and bounties, climb Esmelas Tower to loot the Diamond Staff from a chest and defeat the Monster Chest guardian for EP Cut 4. You can also hunt down the Guilder Quake bounty on your route.
Key fight: Bounty Monster: Guilder QuakeTip: Guilder Quake is immune to standard melee attacks, so spread out your party, cast Clock Down, and pummel it with Water arts like Blue Drop and firearm strikes from Tita or Olivier.

3
Investigating the Coma Outbreak
Return to the City of Rolent after the clock tower chimes plunge citizens into comas, surveying Father Divine at the Rolent Chapel, Mayor Klaus at his residence, and Radford and Fate at Abend Bar. Speak with local NPCs during this investigation window to secure Gambler Jack - Vol. 7. When analyzing the victim patterns with your party, select "No witnesses" and deduce that "Luke collapsed" because he heard the bell chime just before losing consciousness.
Tip: Selecting "No witnesses" and "Luke collapsed" awards bonus BP for proper deductions.
Watch out: Picking the wrong dialogue choices will forfeit your bonus BP, and failing to talk to the NPC for Gambler Jack - Vol. 7 voids your endgame Zemurian Ore weapon.
-
4
Ambush at Perzel Farm
Head out to Perzel Farm to protect Franz, Hannah, and Luke from an ambush of mist beasts. Before you step into the encounter, equip your party with status accessories like the Wooden Doll or Lily Necklace to nullify sleep effects. After securing the farm, make sure to talk to the required town NPC in Rolent to collect Gambler Jack - Vol. 8 before leaving for Mistwald.
Key fight: Ambush at Perzel FarmTip: Spread your party out to prevent Alraune's straight-line Dream Smoke from putting multiple allies to sleep, then exploit their low ADF with high-tier elemental arts.
Watch out: Leaving for Mistwald without picking up Gambler Jack - Vol. 8 permanently locks you out of the endgame Zemurian Ore weapon.
-
5
Navigating Mistwald Forest
Proceed to the outskirts of Mistwald to gather a Teara Balm and Curia Balm from the chests before entering the fog maze. Align your compass North and follow the path strictly without failing or triggering rescue dialogue: go East, North, East, North, North to grab the Range Quartz / Range 1 from the isolated screen chest, then finish by heading East, East, and North.
Tip: Following the exact directions (East → North → East → North → North [chest] → East → East → North) secures you +3 Bonus BP.
Watch out: Triggering the automatic rescue dialogue or failing maze navigation loses the +3 BP bonus.

The Servais Tree and Luciola
When trapped in the childhood illusion at the Bright Family Residence, inspect the desk, unlock the room, inspect the chest to find the harmonica, and play it out on the terrace to break free. You will immediately confront Enforcer VI Luciola alongside her mist beasts and minions at the Servais Tree. Clear out the minions and the arts-vulnerable beast using Earth arts like Stone Hammer while using physical attacks on the physical-vulnerable beast, keeping your team safe with Earth Wall and status protection.
Key fight: Mistwald Glade ConfrontationTip: Equip accessories to protect against Sleep and Confusion, and utilize Scherazard's Heaven's Kiss or Judgment Card alongside Clock Down to dictate the turn order.
