Settle at Shady Belle and Check Camp Opportunities
When you set up camp at the Shady Belle plantation house located southwest of Saint Denis, check around camp for activities before heading into the city. Make sure to talk with your campmates to join Lenny for a stagecoach robbery, Micah for a second stagecoach robbery, and Pearson for hunting. Additionally, Arthur can read Mary's letter to initiate "Fatherhood and Other Dreams I & II".
Watch out: If you advance through the main storyline to the bank robbery and flee Shady Belle, Mary's request and the camp activities with Lenny, Micah, and Pearson are permanently lost.

Explore Central Saint Denis Services and Collect Pamphlets
Head into the heart of the city to utilize services like Kuo Chao & Co. Gunsmith, the Tailor shop west of the outdoor market, Horner & Co. General Store in the north, along with the Doctor's Office, the Barber shop, and a Photographic Studio. You should also find Chelonian preacher Anders Helgerson in a park courtyard near the city center and talk to him to grab the Chelonian Handbill.
Watch out: The Chelonian Handbill is permanently missable because it can only be received by Arthur Morgan and will not be given to John in the Epilogue.

Walk over to the small outdoor table on the north side of the train station/post office to pick up the Saint Denis Trolley Rider's Digest, then grab refreshments at Doyle's Tavern in the south or the Bastille Saloon in the north.
