Arriving in Strawberry

In the opening mission "The Wheel", you arrive in Strawberry by wagon alongside Abigail and Jack. Head to the General Store to accept a delivery contract, and then update Abigail at the Doctor's Office before heading out.

Driving to Pronghorn Ranch

Take the wagon out of Strawberry and drive through Big Valley in West Elizabeth toward Pronghorn Ranch. Once you reach the ranch grounds, you will meet the ranch foreman Tom Dickens and owner David Geddes. You can also spot the veteran ranch hand Abe working around the main barn, cow pens, and horse stables, while Abigail and Jack settle into the worker cabin assigned to your family.

Reclaiming Stolen Supplies

While handling deliveries and supplies for the ranch, outlaws will attempt to hijack your wagon. Fight off these thieves to safely recover and reclaim the stolen ranch goods.

Defending Abe in Old Habits

During the mission "Old Habits", head near the ranch buildings where you will find Abe being harassed by the Laramie Gang. Engage in a scripted fistfight against a Laramie gang member right on the ranch grounds to drive off the harassers.

Watch out: Do not expect any unique loot or items from the beaten Laramie gang member, as a cutscene begins immediately after the fight.

The Laramie Night Raid and Abigail's Departure

Survive a night raid when the Laramie Gang attacks Pronghorn Ranch, setting fire to ranch buildings and assaulting Tom Dickens. After the violence subsides, Abigail leaves John upon seeing his return to a violent life.
