Crescent

FINAL FANTASY V guide · Island town where the party's ship sinks and the black chocobo is found
← All areas in this guide

As soon as the party docks at Crescent, an unexpected tremor causes the Fire-Powered Ship to sink into a whirlpool, leaving the party stranded. Players must explore the town to stock up on bow weapons and magic, visit the local minstrel for musical lore, and then venture south to the forest to secure alternate transportation. Later in the game, the town acts as a central hub for song rewards tied to mastery of musical instruments found across the world.
