Escaping Karnak Castle: All 15 chests inside Karnak Castle, plus enemies exclusive to the castle escape sequence (including Iron Claw, Curre, Gigas, and Sorcerer bestiary entries).
Defeating Archeoaevis in Ronka Ruins: The Ronka Ruins collapse permanently, locking out all 12 chests, ruin-exclusive enemies, and access to remaining World 1 exclusive locations and bestiary entries.
Entering the Warp Zone at Castle Bal to reach World 2: The entirety of World 1 map, towns, dungeons, and any uncollected chests or unlogged bestiary entries specific to World 1 become inaccessible.
Defeating Atmos at Barrier Tower: Barrier Tower is destroyed immediately upon victory, locking out all 4 chests and tower-exclusive bestiary encounters forever.
Defeating the Guardian Crystals in Forest of Moore: The unburnt layout of the Forest of Moore and any uncollected items or specific enemy configurations in that phase become permanently unavailable.
Defeating Exdeath at Castle Exdeath in World 2: All of World 2 locations (including Castle Exdeath, Surgate Castle, Barrier Tower ruins, and exclusive overworld encounters) become permanently inaccessible upon merging into World 3.

Recommended order

Step 1Tycoon Meteorite

Grab the item near the impact site, recruit your initial companions, and begin logging entries in the bestiary.

Step 2Pirates' Hideout

Open all 3 treasure chests in the hideout cave, observe the story event with Syldra, and obtain the pirate ship.
Step 3Wind Shrine

Clear all 4 chests, encounter every dungeon enemy for the bestiary, defeat Wing Raptor, and unlock the first job set.

Step 4Tule

Collect all hidden items and chests in town, visit the tavern to play Piano #1, and trigger the cutscene at Zok's house.
Step 5Ship Graveyard

Search all floors to open every chest, find the hidden World Map item, log all local monsters, and defeat Siren.
Step 6Carwen

Collect the hidden items across the village and play Piano #2 inside the pub.
Step 7North Mountain

Gather all chests, log all mountain enemies (including Stone Mask and Cockatrice), learn the Blue Magic spell "Flash" if possible, and defeat Magissa and Forza.
Step 8Castle Tycoon

Return to Castle Tycoon with the dragon, collect all hidden interior items and treasure chests, and trigger the family cutscenes.
Step 9Castle Walse

Loot all available chests and hidden items in the castle, avoiding or safely stealing/escaping from Jackanapes in the basement.
Step 10Town of Walse

Search the village for hidden items and purchase any updated spells and gear.
Step 11Tower of Walse

Collect all 4 chests, log all local enemies, defeat Galura to obtain the second crystal job set, and rescue the engineer before the tower sinks into the sea.

Step 12Town of Karnak

Purchase gear at discounted prices before triggering the event, collect hidden items, and play Piano #3 in the pub.
Step 13Fire-Powered Ship

Collect all 9 treasure chests, defeat Liquid Flame, and prepare an optimized party layout before interacting with the crystal.
Step 14Karnak Castle

Escape within the strict 10-minute countdown while opening all 15 missable chests, encountering missable enemies (including Gigas, Sorcerer, Curre, and Iron Claw during the boss fight), and learning the "Aero 2" or "Death Claw" Blue Magic.

Step 15Library of the Ancients

Collect all 3 chests, log Page 32, Page 64, Page 128, and Page 256 for the bestiary, learn Blue Magic spells like "Level 5 Death", and defeat Ifrit and Byblos.
