DRAGON QUEST VIII guide · ascended in the dark world to save Empyrea's unhatched chick

After proving their strength to Empyrea, the party is flown to her mountain nesting ground in the World of Darkness to free her hostage unhatched chick. Players must climb through multi-tiered caverns and rocky ledges, navigating winding paths while battling corrupted monsters. At the nest on the peak, they confront the fiend Gemon in order to save the Godbird's egg.

Tactics: Maintain party Defense using Kabuff, apply Insulatle to blunt Inferno, keep healing steady with Multiheal or Midheal, eliminate the summoned adds promptly, and rely on tension-boosted physical strikes or defense-piercing skills rather than attack spells
