The short version

What matters

  • •Nanba's Pigeon Raid deals heavy magic spread damage, making it your best tool against early group encounters.
  • •Scavenging under vending machines and trading Eco Points with Kan-san supplies essential starting funds and supplies.
  • •Dialogue choices at Hello Work and Hamako's bar permanently boost Kasuga's personality metrics without altering the plot.

Common mistakes

  • •Focusing Zheng while his lackey is alive; knock out the minion first so your team does not suffer unnecessary extra hits.
  • •Spreading attacks evenly across all six Bleach Japan protesters instead of single-targeting them down to minimize incoming turns.

Walkthrough

The area in the order you play it. Tick things off as you go: they tick off in the checklists below too.

  1. 1

    Awaken in the Camp

Following the transition from Chapter 2 after getting shot in Kamurocho, you wake up discarded in a trash pile along the riverbank in the Commercial District of Isezaki Ijincho. Speak with Yu Nanba and The Chief to learn you must repay your treatment costs, then check the nearby Item Storage Box to retrieve your possessions.

Tip: The Chief shelters and interrogates you before setting your initial goals.

Watch out: Your entire inventory is stripped until you reclaim it from the Item Storage Box.

  2. 2

    Learn to Scavenge

Follow Nanba over to the camp's vending machines to complete the tutorial for searching underneath them. Inspect the machines sequentially to scavenge a total of 55 yen, unlocking your basic ability to hunt for goods.

Tip: The tutorial rewards you with 0 yen, 5 yen, and 50 yen in sequential order.

  3. 3

    Defend the Camp at Dusk

Return to the homeless camp as evening sets in to discover the area threatened by the Yokohama Liumang. Stand your ground against Zheng and his lackey, after which Nanba permanently joins your party as a Homeless Guy.

Key fight: Zheng & Liumang Lackey

Tip: Eliminate the lackey first with standard attacks, then focus Kasuga's skills on Zheng while Nanba debuffs and regenerates MP.

  4. 4

    Explore the Commercial District

Venture beyond the riverbank as the main streets open up toward Game Center Sasaki and the local shops. Battle Street Roamers roaming the avenues and stop by convenience stores to access ATMs and withdraw any savings.

    Key fight: Street Roamers

Tip: Wipe out groups of Stray Homeless and Slacker Salarymen quickly by utilizing Nanba's area-of-effect magic skill, Pigeon Raid.

  5. 5

    Guard Hamako's Establishment

Proceed to the Snack District to rendezvous with Hamako and confront Sota Kume alongside hostile Bleach Japan demonstrators. Defeat the six level 8 street thugs to finish your bodyguard assignment, completing Chapter 3 and earning lodging in the room above Hamako's establishment.

Key fight: Anti-Sex-Work Thugs / Aggressive Protesters

Tip: Target the protesters individually to cut down their turn advantage, softening the crowd with Nanba's Pigeon Raid.
