1
Prison Release and Cemetery Clash
After your 18-year sentence ends in 2019, watch the cutscenes introducing Koichi Adachi and receive an unintentional afro perm at the hair salon before heading to the cemetery outskirts. Masumi Arakawa appears in the distance, prompting an immediate battle against his personal guards.
Key fight: Cemetery Outskirts: Arakawa BodyguardsTip: Take down Maruyama immediately in one strike due to his minimal health, then land Tenacious Fist on Kaneda while relying on Perfect Guard if he inflicts Rage on you.
-
2
Searching Kamurocho Streets
Walk through the city to the former Arakawa Family Office, only to discover the premises completely cleared out and locked down. Proceed to the nearby cigarette stand to question Michiyo, which triggers a fight with an Arakawa debt enforcer named Kishi before she points you toward Ushio.
Key fight: Cigarette Stand: Arakawa EnforcerTip: Lure Kishi toward the corner to grab a street cone for heavy physical burst damage, and keep your guard up whenever he winds up for big bat swings.
-
3
Children's Park and Alleyway Rescues
Reach Children’s Park in the northwest to find Ushio being bullied by Omi Family gangsters, whose defeat reveals that the Omi now rule the district. Make your way toward the ruined soapland Shangri-La while avoiding patrols, rescue Nick Ogata from street hostiles in an alley to earn a smartphone, and regroup with Adachi at Theater Square.
Key fight: Children's Park: Omi Thugs Key fight: Street Alley: Thugs (Nick Ogata Rescue)Tip: In the park, execute Tenacious Fist to shatter the weaker thug before finishing the second grounded foe; in the alley, use regular strikes on the Lv. 2 target and save Tenacious Fist for the Lv. 5 threat.
-
4
Kamurocho Underground Infiltration
Follow Adachi down the manhole near Theater Alley into the sewers to circumvent the surface security around Heian Tower. Navigate the tunnels through multiple hostile packs while scouring the side paths for supplies.
Key fight: Kamurocho Underground Encounter 1 Key fight: Kamurocho Underground Encounter 2Tip: Knock down targets and follow up with standard strikes to land guaranteed critical hits without spending MP, and utilize Adachi’s Slick Tongue or Beatdown against enemy trios.
Watch out: Make sure to thoroughly check the right wall, the right fork, and the dead-end branch before leaving, as everything here is permanently lost once you climb the ladder.
-
5
The Point of No Return Ladder
Advance to the final chamber of the underground path where the exit ladder leads directly up into Heian Tower. Recover your stats and log your progress at the designated checkpoints before interacting with the ladder rung.
Tip: Take advantage of the free HP/MP Recovery Station and phone Save Point sitting right beside the ladder base before interacting with the climb prompt.
Watch out: Selecting "Head up" locks you into Heian Tower and permanently bars you from returning to this sewer map or collecting its treasures; choose "Not yet" if you need to backtrack.
-
6
Heian Tower Security and Rooftops
Scale the ladder into the monitoring office to snatch supplies before fighting past three defensive interior guards. Battle across the rooftop against four Omi members until a structural collapse separates you from Adachi, then locate the final safe spot and clear out two Lv. 7 Omi Thugs blocking the banquet hall.
Tip: Focus down one of the hallway thugs immediately to stop them from overwhelming you with double Rage taunts, and top off your vitals at the rooftop Recovery Station.
Watch out: Loot the Staminan X and Half-Eaten Bento in the security office immediately upon arrival, as you cannot re-enter these tower rooms once the chapter concludes.

7
Confronting Jo Sawashiro
Enter the main banquet hall to face the Arakawa Family leaders, culminating in a vicious one-on-one duel against Jo Sawashiro. To survive his lethal cane sword, keep your health over 50% with bentos or drinks, throw items to safely pierce his defensive stances, and claim the 'Rock Bottom' achievement upon victory.
Tip: Exploit Sawashiro's vulnerabilities to blade and electricity, and pelt him with thrown items like baseballs to bypass his posture while dealing safe damage.
Watch out: Never execute basic physical combos when Sawashiro takes a defensive stance; his counter-attacks deal devastating damage, so guard or use items instead.
