Secret Laboratory
The Secret Laboratory is the sixth major dungeon in Persona 4 Golden, accessed through the TV world to rescue Naoto Shirogane. The dungeon spans nine floors descending underground and features security card puzzles required to unlock access to lower levels. Players must navigate past powerful mechanical and shadow enemies to reach the final chamber and defeat Shadow Naoto.
Deadlines
- October 5 | Clear the Secret Laboratory to rescue Naoto Shirogane before the fog rolls in on the next rainy day, otherwise it results in a Game Over.

Sub-boss found behind a door on B4F required for the Research Card; periodically summons Reserve Wire.
Dungeon boss on B9F; inflicts status ailments, drains SP, and uses Mute Ray and Element Zero to strip party elemental resistances.
Optional boss appearing in the B9F boss room after clearing the dungeon; high physical resistance and drops the Algernon weapon for Naoto upon defeat.
Tips
- Bring items or personas that cure Silence, Enervation, and Exhaustion, as Shadow Naoto frequently applies debilitating ailments that limit your party's skill usage.
- Use Tetrakarn or physical-reflecting personas against the post-dungeon optional boss Extreme Vessel, as its offense consists almost entirely of heavy physical attacks.
