The Pioneer Camp

Metro Exodus guide · The settlement of the children in the Taiga
← All areas in this guide

The Pioneer Camp is a major settlement in the Taiga level constructed as a network of treehouses and rope bridges. Artyom must infiltrate the camp to reach the upper structures and use a zipline to progress past the area. To secure the good ending for the level and keep Alyosha unharmed, you must pass through the camp without killing any of the Pioneers.

Tips

  • Nightfall makes sneaking through the treehouse platforms much easier, as the Pioneers rely heavily on lanterns and fixed sightlines.
  • Do not kill any Pioneers in this camp if you want to avoid negative karma and keep Alyosha from being injured at the end of the chapter.
  • The water path beneath the treehouses provides a route with fewer guards if you want to avoid the elevated rope bridges entirely.
