Metro Exodus guide · The prologue and escape from the city

Artyom explores the irradiated Moscow ruins to search for radio signals from survivors outside the city before returning to Exhibition station. After discovering an operative train and being captured by the Hansa, he and Anna learn the truth about the radio jammer and escape Moscow aboard the stolen locomotive Aurora. Players must navigate mutated tunnels, infiltrate a Hansa facility, and hijack the train while avoiding or fighting hostile forces.

Tips

Human enemies in the Hansa base can be eliminated non-lethally from behind by sneaking, which conserves valuable ammunition and medkits.
Conserve your gas mask filters during the surface search sequence by removing the mask immediately whenever Artyom enters an airtight interior.
Shoot out or unscrew light sources across the train depot to make stealth navigation much easier against patrolling guards.
