Chapter 18: Destiny's Crossroads
The party rides on the highway before passing through a portal into the Singularity to alter their fate. Cloud, Barret, Tifa, and Aerith face the colossal Whisper Harbinger and its manifestations before confronting Sephiroth in a climactic showdown.

Fights across multiple phases, shifting affinities, parrying frontal physical attacks, and utilizing devastating moves like Heartless Angel and Octaslash.
Tips
- Equip the party with diverse elemental Materia before stepping through the portal at Destiny's Crossroads, as Sephiroth rotates through elemental weaknesses and absorbs whatever element he is currently infused with.
- During the Sephiroth battle, party members arrive sequentially based on dynamic conditions driven by your earlier battle actions, so ensure all active companions have equipped Materia and upgraded gear before the chapter's point of no return.
- When Sephiroth casts Heartless Angel, immediately heal the affected target, as the move drops their HP to 1 and leaves them vulnerable to follow-up strikes.
- In the final phase against Sephiroth, he begins a countdown to cast a lethal attack; focus on building his Stagger gauge and unleashing Limit Breaks to defeat him before the timer runs out.
