Concord

Fallout 4 guide · fighting raiders and the Deathclaw
← All areas in this guide

You visit Concord early in the main quest "When Freedom Calls" to investigate gunfire and rescue trapped settlers inside the Museum of Freedom. You must clear out the hostile raiders inside and outside the museum, retrieve a suit of Power Armor from the roof, and defeat a powerful Deathclaw that emerges into the streets. Once the threats are eliminated, you can talk to Preston Garvey to help the survivors relocate safely to Sanctuary.

Enemies

Raider
Weak to HeadSteal / drop Raider Armor parts, pipe weapons

Low-level hostile human enemies scattered around the museum interior and outside on the streets

Gristle
Weak to HeadSteal / drop Corvega storage key

The named raider leader who attacks alongside reinforcements after you equip the Power Armor

Deathclaw
Weak to BellySteal / drop Deathclaw meat, Deathclaw hand

A massive, lethal creature that bursts out from an underground sewer grate during the final phase of the street battle

Tips

  • Enter the nearby open buildings or shops to shoot the Deathclaw from the doorway, as its massive model cannot fit through standard doors.
  • Focus your gunfire on the Deathclaw's soft belly rather than its armored head to deal critical damage.
  • The Laser Musket found outside the museum can be cranked multiple times before firing to release a single, high-damage burst that is great for opening combat on tough targets.
