The Lothering Chantry serves as a temporary refuge for displaced villagers and where the player can enlist Ser Bryant to receive supplies. Inside, you can recruit the companion Leliana if she was not already recruited at the local tavern, and accept several side quests from the chanters and notice board. This interior becomes permanently inaccessible once you finish your business in Lothering and travel into the wider world map.

- Ser Bryant: Offers free health poultices and a small coin stipend if persuaded or spoken to about aid
Tips
- Complete all interactions, looting, and companion recruitment inside the Chantry before leaving Lothering, because the Darkspawn overrun and lock off the entire town permanently as soon as you depart to another main quest area.
- Bring a rogue with lockpicking talent into the Chantry to open all back-room chests, as you will not be able to return with higher skills later.
