Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Definitive Edition guide · The spider-infested cavern

This cavern on the Reaper's Coast is a hideout for Mordus and his Voidwoken-worshipping wreckers. Exploring the upper chambers triggers an ambush where Voidwoken abduct party members, scattering them into isolated lower chambers. You must regroup your party, navigate through the spider-infested tunnels, and defeat Mordus to acquire his Source amulet and learn his teachings.

A cracked wall in the lower flooded tunnels can be blasted with explosives or bludgeoned with a heavy weapon to reveal a hidden passage leading straight to the central cavern.A submerged chest resting off the docks near Mordus' chamber can be spotted with high Wits and raised using Telekinesis or the Teleportation skill.

Voidwoken Lurker

Grabs and teleports party members into isolated lower chambers of the cave upon first contact.

Mordus

Weak to Physical damage (low physical armor compared to magic armor)Steal / drop Mordus' Amulet

Avoid letting any of his thralls die near him in combat, or he will consume their corpse and transform into the far deadlier Voidwoken Mord'Akaim.

Possessed Dwarves

Weak to Earth

Humanoid thralls fighting alongside Mordus; killing them prematurely can fuel his Voidwoken transformation.

Tips

You can use the Pyramids of Teleportation or waypoint fast-travel to reunite your party immediately after the Voidwoken Lurkers scatter you across the lower depths.
Bring high-mobility skills like Tactical Retreat, Cloak and Dagger, or Spread Your Wings to bypass the spiked barricades and vertical cliffs that block the separate starting cells.
If you leave Mordus alive after beating him down to low health, you can interrogate him for Source mastery before deciding whether to execute him.
