The Lady Vengeance

Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Definitive Edition guide · Boarding the ship to leave the island

After escaping Fort Joy, you board the living ship named the Lady Vengeance, which is under Magister control and held stationary. You must explore the decks, defeat Magister Ranley and her cohorts, and uncover the ship's control phrase from Dallis's stateroom to make the ship sail. Once freed, you face an assault by Dallis the Hammer and must protect Malady until she can cast a ritual spell to escape.

Guarding the lower deck before you can access the stateroom.

Dallis the Hammer

Steal / drop The Reckoning (two-handed unique hammer if forced to retreat)

Attacks the ship during the transition combat; defeating her or her pet dragon forces an early retreat.

Gheist

Weak to Magic damage

Accompanies the Magisters during the defense of Malady; targets squishy characters and hits hard.

Tips

Your primary objective during Dallis's ambush is to keep Malady alive for a set number of turns rather than defeating all enemies.
Cast Fortify, Magic Shell, and Haste on Malady to help her survive the assault from Dallis's minions.
Reading the Dusty Tome with a scholar character unlocks the password needed to interact with the ship's figurehead and control the vessel.
If you reduce Dallis or her cloaked figure to low health during the ambush battle, the fight ends immediately and Dallis drops her unique weapon.
