Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Definitive Edition guide · Entering the final sanctuary

The Cathedral in the city of Arx serves as the entry point to the Path of Blood and the final sanctuary. Players must bypass the Path of Blood's purity trial or use an alternate hidden mechanism to unlock the descent below. Completing the puzzles in the crypt beneath the Cathedral allows the party to enter Lucian's tomb and proceed to the game's finale.

Secrets

0/1

Path of Blood bypass: Instead of taking the purity test at the statue of Lucian, place the Amulet of the Toyseller and read the Scroll of the Source Barrier at the hidden switch on the pillar to reveal the hatch to the crypt.

Enemies

Puppets

Infinite waves of puppet enemies spawn in the crypt puzzle room until all Source barrier levers spelling "POWER" are correctly pulled.

Tips

Bring Source Infusion or Source spells into the crypt puzzle room, as you must bless the floor and utilize Source to activate the pipe and altar mechanism.
A character who has never killed, stolen, lied, or used Source can pass Lucian's purity test directly, though it is usually far easier to use Toyseller Sanders' bypass method.
