The Dark Cave, also known as Trompdoy's cave, is an illusion-filled dungeon located on the southeastern shore of Fort Joy island. Inside, players navigate deadly trap-laden corridors and battle illusions cast by the mad undead Trompdoy. Reaching the end leads to the Vault of Braccus Rex, granting access to Source extraction, the Tyrant's Artifact set piece, and mysterious Soul Jars.

Tips

  • Look closely at the ground in the chasm areas, as invisible bridges exist that your party can walk across directly instead of navigating around traps.
  • Be careful which soul jars you break in the vault, as destroying the wrong decoy jars triggers localized elemental curses or explosions.
