Vergen is a mountainous dwarven city in the Pontar Valley that serves as Geralt's main hub in Chapter II if you side with Iorveth at the end of Chapter I. During your stay, you work alongside Saskia, Zoltan, and Philippa Eilhart to lift a supernatural mist curse and defend the city against King Henselt's invading army. Exploring the town gives you access to numerous local contracts, blacksmiths, underground catacombs, and dwarven mining tunnels.

Shops and people

Mael: Sells weapon and armor schematics, crafting materials, and provides forging services near the Mahakaman entrance.
Hagart: Sells food, alchemical ingredients, and basic camping supplies in the central market area.

Tips

Craft and place Harpy Traps around the harpy lair in the quarry instead of killing them by hand to easily complete the Harpy Contract.
Bring Cat potions whenever exploring the tunnels beneath Vergen, as the mine interiors are extremely dark and full of sudden ambushes.
