Quen is critical during the mist crossing to shield against relentless wraiths and projectile fire from phantom archers.
In the crypt across the mist, you can bypass the Dun Banner ghost combat entirely by correctly recounting historical facts about the Battle of Brenna.
Roll away immediately whenever a Rotfiend stops moving and begins to spasm, as its corpse detonation can instantly deplete your vitality.
