The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess guide · Searching for the Zora
← All areas in this guide

Upon arriving at Lake Hylia during the twilight search for the Zoras, Wolf Link finds the lakebed completely drained of water and shrouded in Twilight. Link must navigate the dry basin, defeat a Shadow Bulblin shooting fire arrows to ride a Kargarok up Zora's River, and ultimately locate the frozen Zora domain. Later, Link returns here after unfreezing Zora's Domain to collect Tears of Light and restore the Light Spirit Lanayru.

Enemies

Shadow Bulblin
Weak to direct attacks

Mounted archers that shoot fire arrows at Wolf Link in the dry lakebed.

Shadow Kargarok
Weak to jumping bites as Wolf Link

A large twilight bird summoned by a Shadow Bulblin; defeating the rider allows Link to tame the bird to fly up the river.

Shadow Beast
Weak to defeat the final two or three simultaneously

Twilight creatures that drop down in barriers; must be grouped together and finished with a circle attack.

Shadow Insect
Weak to sensory attacks as Wolf LinkSteal / drop Tears of Light

Invisible twilight bugs that hold the Tears of Light needed to restore the Lanayru Province.

Tips

  • Use Wolf Link's senses constantly when navigating the dried basin and Lanayru Spring to spot tears, bugs, and digging spots buried in the sand.
  • When fighting Shadow Beast portals alone, take out all but the last two or three individually, then defeat the remaining ones in one spin or charge attack to prevent them from reviving.
