The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker guide · After awakening Medli

Link and the newly awakened Earth Sage, Medli, enter the subterranean temple beneath Headstone Island to restore the Master Sword's power to repel evil. You must command Medli to fly, step on switches, and reflect beams of light to solve puzzles and banish darkness. Completing the dungeon culminates in defeating Jalhalla to fully awaken Medli's prayers and partially repower the Master Sword.

Blue warp cauldrons scattered through the temple can be opened by blowing up the boulders blocking their tops with Bombs to quickly travel between dungeon sections.Several dark stone sun-face statues can be completely dissolved by using the Mirror Shield to shine reflected light on them, revealing hidden passages, switches, or chests.

Stuns Link with a loud shriek if he gets too close; reflected light freezes them in place.

Blue Bubble

Weak to Deku Leaf or light

Floating skull surrounded by blue fire that disables Link's weapon use on contact until extinguished.

Floormaster

Shadows on the ground that attempt to grab Link or Medli and pull them back to the dungeon entrance.

Jalhalla

Weak to Light from light beams and the Mirror Shield

Boss composed of numerous Poes; stunning him with light makes him solid so Link can throw him into spiked wall pillars and slice up the scattered Poes.

Tips

Play the Command Melody while standing near Medli to take direct control of her movement and harp-reflector ability.
You can pick up and carry Medli while running, and jumping off a ledge while holding her allows Link to glide for a short distance.
If Link is afflicted by a Blue Bubble's curse, play the Song of Passing or wait out the timer to recover your ability to use weapons.
