Ashina Depths is a submerged subterranean territory accessed via the Bottomless Hole or the Sunken Valley, spanning a poisonous swamp, the illusion-drenched Hidden Forest, and the eerie Mibu Village. Players must navigate these toxic basins and cursed settlements to slay guardians and dispel mystical fog. At the journey's end stands the Wedding Cave, where players claim the Shelter Stone required for the Divine Heir's fountainhead incense ritual.

A crawlspace tunnel high inside the cave behind the Poison Pool has a vertical opening halfway through; jumping up and wall-kicking up the hidden shaft allows access to a ledge overlooking the area and a grapple point to a Buddha head holding a Prayer Bead.

Enemies: Phantom form of the Corrupted Monk

Threats: Wields sweeping multi-hit naginata combos, jumping vertical slams, and perilous thrusts or sweeps

Weaknesses and resistances: Weak to Snap Seeds, Shinobi Firecracker, and Fistful of Ash

Tactics: Deflect high-speed spinning combinations, jump over sweeps, execute Mikiri Counters on thrusts, and use up to three Snap Seeds early to heavily reduce her posture regeneration

Rewards: Memory: Corrupted Monk, Mibu Breathing Technique

Headless Ape & Bride

Enemies: Headless Ape and a brown-furred mate ape

Threats: Roaring terror bursts, leaping sword sweeps, diving body slams, and tandem aggro rushes

Weaknesses and resistances: Weak to Loaded Spear (to yank out the centipede) and Shinobi Firecracker (to stun the mate)

Tactics: Focus down the aggressive brown ape first using Firecrackers for posture breaks, then deflect the Headless Ape's towering vertical sword slam to leave it collapsed and vulnerable to Spear pull attacks

Rewards: Memory: Headless Ape, two Prayer Beads

Tips

You can use up to three Snap Seeds against the phantom Corrupted Monk to quickly eliminate chunks of her vitality, dramatically slowing down her posture recovery rate for the remainder of the battle.
