Conduit
After speaking with Vigil on Ilos, you must drive the Mako down the Trench toward the Conduit before Saren's portal closes. You have a strict countdown timer of roughly 40 seconds to cover the distance and jump directly into the beam. Successfully entering the Conduit teleports the Mako straight into the Citadel Presidium for the final confrontation.
Enemies
Guarding the path leading directly in front of the Conduit; engaging them wastes valuable timer seconds.
Positioned along the trench approach toward the portal.
Heavy infantry deployed along the road leading to the beam.
Stationary snipers and rocket units firing down at the Mako from defensive positions.
Tips
- Completely ignore the Geth Colossi and foot soldiers stationed near the portal, as fighting them will easily cause your timer to expire.
- Use the Mako's forward booster boost conservatively to maintain steering control, as bumping into walls or bouncing awkwardly can waste precious seconds.
- Center the Mako in the trench and drive straight into the glowing blue beam of the Conduit to trigger the end-of-mission cutscene.
