FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH guide · Chapter 7: Arrival at the mining village

The party arrives in Barret's impoverished hometown of North Corel via the Mt. Corel hiking trail and tracks. Barret faces the open hostility and resentment of the local residents, who blame him for the destruction of their town by Shinra. To progress the main story, Cloud and the group must explore the settlement, rest, and head to the ropeway station to catch a tram bound for the Gold Saucer.

Tips

Be sure to visit the rest stop bench to fully restore the party's HP and MP before heading to the ropeway station.
Look around the multi-level shacks and ladders before boarding the cable car, as several chests and Shinra crates containing crafting materials are tucked into the corners.
