Chapter 14 serves as the climax of the game where Cloud and the party pursue Sephiroth into the heart of the Forgotten Capital. After passing through the whispering barriers and reaching the central altar, players trigger the iconic confrontation that unfolds across a multi-stage gauntlet of climactic boss battles. Progression is strictly linear and focused entirely on narrative resolution and high-difficulty combat encounters.
