Bloodborne guide · After touching the altar in the Unseen Village

Entering via the altar past The One Reborn teleports you to the Lecture Building's second floor, an academic ruin suspended in the Nightmare. You need to navigate the upper balconies, unlock shortcuts, and descend to the first floor to clear out lingering scholars. Dropping through an open hatch in a lecture hall lets you access the path to the Nightmare of Mensis or double back to the Nightmare Frontier.

Steal / drop Upgrading materials

Flees upon spotting the player and disappears quickly if not killed.

Shops and people

Patches the Spider: Offers the "Beg for Life" gesture and the Anti-Clockwise Metamorphosis rune after speaking with him face-to-face via the ladder drop.

Tips

Thrusting attacks and elemental weapons, especially those dealing fire damage, make quick work of the large mob of scholars clustered inside the main lecture halls.
The ground-floor lecture hall filled with scholars is one of the most efficient mid-game Blood Echo and Quicksilver Bullet farming spots.
