Players must navigate past Church Servants and Church Giants to open large iron gates and reach the Grand Cathedral. Defeating the Vicar Amelia boss inside the Grand Cathedral reveals a password needed to access the Forbidden Woods.

Tips

You can bypass the 10,000 Blood Echo cost of the Hunter Chief Emblem by defeating the Blood-starved Beast in Old Yharnam to open the right door inside Oedon Chapel.
Beware of the unseen Lesser Amygdala clinging to the wall outside Oedon Chapel; standing near the corpse there can cause it to grab and crush you.
