Step 1

Start a new game on any difficulty setting, as there are no difficulty-related achievements in the remake.
Step 2

Play through the campaign while following a collectible guide to gather all Artifacts, Firefly Pendants, Comics, Training Manuals, and Toolboxes across Joel's House, Boston Quarantine Zone, Boston Outskirts, Downtown Boston, State House, Bill's Town, Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Hotel, Financial District, Suburbs, Sewers, Suburbs Houses, Tommy's Dam, University of Eastern Colorado, Science Building, Lakeside Resort, Resort Town, Bus Depot, Underground Tunnel, Salt Lake City Hospital, and Jackson.
Step 3

Trigger all Optional Conversations, listen to all of Ellie's jokes in Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Hotel, Financial District, and Suburbs, unlock all Shiv Doors, crack all Safes, and pet Buckley the dog at Tommy's Dam.
Step 4

Collect Weapon Parts and Supplements to upgrade Joel's attributes and improve your weapons at workbenches throughout the story.
Step 5

Complete the Left Behind prequel chapter accessible from the main menu, finding all of its collectibles and triggering all optional conversations and minigame-related achievements.
Step 6

Use Chapter Select or New Game+ to clean up any missed collectibles, cumulative combat tasks, or remaining weapon and supplement upgrades.
