Nova Galactic Staryard

Starfield guide · Retrieving the first Artifact

The Nova Galactic Staryard orbits Luna in the Sol system and is visited during the early main quest "The Old Neighborhood" alongside Sarah Morgan. You board the abandoned, zero-gravity-capable facility to track down Vanguard Moara and uncover clues about the Artifact he was carrying. Navigating the interior requires clearing out hostile Spacers and Ecliptic mercenaries until you reach the command bridge and retrieve Moara's slate.

Enemies

Spacer Scum

Common scavengers armed with basic ballistic weapons spread throughout the entry decks.

Spacer Punk

Slightly tougher Spacer variant encountered around the central hangar catwalks.

Ecliptic Mercenary

Better-armored hostiles encountered deeper in the facility fighting against the Spacers.

Tips

Listen closely when moving through the middle sections, as Spacers and Ecliptic will often engage each other in firefights, allowing you to hang back and pick off the survivors.
Be mindful of your line of fire near explosive cannisters in the docking bay to avoid taking heavy splash damage in the enclosed corridors.
