After escaping the Endar Spire, you wake up in an apartment on Taris with Carth Onasi and must explore the Upper City to find Bastila. The Upper City serves as the primary hub of Taris, featuring residential apartments, the local Cantina, equipment shops, and an elevator guarded by the Sith. To proceed deeper into the city, you must obtain Sith armor to bypass the military checkpoint leading to the Lower City.

Sith Patrol Trooper
Steal / drop Sith Armor
Guards the apartments and streets; vulnerable to standard melee or blaster fire.
Shops and people
- Kebla Yurt (Equipment Emporium): Sells standard blasters, melee weapons, basic armor, medical supplies, and droid upgrades.
- Zelka Forn (Upper City Clinic): Sells medpacs, antidotes, and stimulants; can also treat your party's injuries for free.
Tips
- Do not equip the Sith Armor on your main character if you want to speak with normal Upper City citizens, as they will refuse to talk to anyone in a Sith uniform.
- You can enter the Upper City Cantina to play Pazaak or participate in the Taris Dueling Ring to earn early credits and experience.
- Zelka Forn will pay you for Rakghoul Serum later on, but you can also sell it to Zax in the Lower City for a dark side choice and more credits.
