The Light Elf Sanctuary

The Light Elf Sanctuary is an optional island area located on the eastern side of the Lake of Light in Alfheim. Kratos and Atreus can explore its ruins by solving light crystal and root-clearing puzzles to unlock gates and pathways. Traversing this sanctuary rewards you with valuable gear, resources, and lore before continuing the main quest.

Tougher variant wielding a staff that fires blinding, exploding light blasts.

Tips

Look for angles where multiple glowing red vine cores align in a straight line so you can slice through them all with a single throw of the Leviathan Axe.
Keep an eye out for hanging explosive pots in the corridors to detonate against groups of Dark Elves before engaging them in melee.
