The Forgotten Caverns is an optional coastal area in the northwest of the Lake of Nine that expands as the lake's water levels lower. Exploring the caverns involves clearing out Hel-walkers, ringing bell runes to unlock a Nornir Chest, and freeing a wayward spirit. It also serves as an entry point toward King's Hollow and the dragon Fafnir.

Secrets

Odin's Raven | Perched atop the wooden pole that holds the three spinning Nornir bell targets by the dock; hit it with the Leviathan Axe to kill it.

Enemies

Hel-Walker

Weak to Fire attacks or barehanded stun attacks

Standard frost-infused undead that spawn around the shores and interior caves.

Wulver

Weak to Heavy stagger or runic attacks

Fast, aggressive wolf-like beasts encountered inside the cavern depths.

Wayward Spirit: Offers the Favor quest "Dead Freight" when spoken to.

Tips

To open the Nornir Chest by the dock, hit the spinning bell targets in quick succession before the timer resets.
