Black Rock Quarry

Jesse travels to the Black Rock Quarry within the Maintenance Sector to retrieve Black Rock Prisms required for the Hedron Resonance Amplifier. She must navigate a vast, dimly lit excavation cavern and blast open a sealed blast door using heavy explosives. After collecting a raw prism, she heads deeper toward the threshold bordering the Foundation.

Hidden Location (Ability Point) | High above the main quarry floor, levitate into the open alcoves and scaffolding along the cavern wall leading to an isolated fissure to trigger an Ability Point.Hidden Location (Ability Point) | Near the entrance to the quarry before the main cavern drop, enter the side shaft containing a crane and crawl spaces that lead to a high restricted ledge.

Hiss Guard

Standard armed grunt that fires service weapons from mid-range.

Hiss Sniper

Positions on distant high rocks and scaffolds; telegraphs shots with a bright red laser sight.

Hiss Ranger

Heavily equipped trooper utilizing shotguns, rifles, and occasional grenade launches.

Hiss Demolition Expert

Fires explosive rockets from range; dangerous in wide-open quarry terrain.

Astral Entity

Golden shifting Chthonic lifeforms wandering near the Black Rock threshold that are invulnerable and should be avoided.

Tips

You can use Launch to pick up explosive power cells and detonate the rubble barricading the quarry's central blast chamber.
Keep a pillar or stone formation between yourself and the snipers, as the quarry offers very little horizontal cover across its central floor.
Launching incoming rockets back at Hiss Demolition Experts will take them out almost instantly across wide gaps.
