The Ruins
After falling onto a bed of golden flowers, the player is rescued by Toriel, who guides them through basic puzzle-solving and combat mechanics. Left to explore alone, the player navigates puzzle-filled corridors, encounters friendly and hostile monsters, and eventually reaches Toriel's home. To leave the area and continue into the Underground, the player must convince Toriel to let them exit the Ruins through the basement door.

Tips
- Sparing enemies rewards zero EXP and maintains your LV at 1, which is necessary if you are aiming for the True Pacifist route.
- Talking to the dummy in the training room and selecting different actions produces unique reactions from Toriel.
- You can adjust the room's candy bowl text by taking more than one Monster Candy, though taking four knocks the bowl over.
