Hotland (Post-Neutral)

Undertale guide · The player returns to Hotland to check on Alphys and the lab

After completing the Neutral route ending and reloading the save file, the player backtracks to Hotland to trigger the events leading toward the True Pacifist conclusion. When approaching the bridge between the Core and the MTT Resort, Papyrus calls to deliver an urgent request on Undyne's behalf. Fulfilling this phone call directs the player to pick up a special letter at Snowdin and deliver it to Alphys's Lab in Hotland.

Sliding Undyne's Letter under the Lab door triggers a cutscene date with Alphys, after which entering the Lab's bathroom reveals it was an elevator leading to the True Lab.

Tips

You must have zero EXP and have completed the hangouts with Papyrus and Undyne earlier in the run to receive Papyrus's call.
Do not worry if you drop or open Undyne's Letter, as returning to Undyne in Snowdin will simply provide a sturdier replacement.
