Hotland
Hotland is an industrial, volcanic region of the Underground featuring steam vents, conveyor belt puzzles, and security laser barriers. As the player navigates through the area, they meet the Royal Scientist Alphys and are repeatedly challenged by her robotic creation, Mettaton, in various staged entertainment scenarios. The primary goal is to safely cross the facility, solve Alphys's laboratory puzzles, and reach the CORE elevator.

Enemies
Can be spared by choosing the "Hug" or "Encourage" ACT options, though its attacks can inadvertently heal or damage you.
Can be spared by using the "Approach" ACT and then grazing its green airplane attacks during its turn.
Can be spared by repeatedly using the "Crank Up" ACT to overheat the room until its heat tolerance is satisfied.
Can be instantly spared by consuming a Spider Donut or Spider Cider bought earlier in the game from the Ruins spider bake sale.
Can be spared by using the "Touch" ACT on RG 01's armor, then using the "Clean" ACT until he removes his armor, causing RG 02 to be susceptible to romantic whispers.

- Bratty and Catty: Sells the Junk Food, Mystery Key, and Empty Gun in the alleyway right next to the MTT Resort.
- Burgerpants: Sells the Glamburger, Tasty Fly, Starfait, and Face Steak inside the MTT Resort hotel shop.
Tips
- Blue lasers will not harm you if you stand completely still as they pass over you, while orange lasers require you to be actively moving through them.
- Carry a Cup of Water from the cooler outside Alphys's lab across the bridge into the next area if you intend to help Undyne during her pursuit sequence.
