Scorned Wilderness

RuneScape: Dragonwilds guide · mounting the raid to slay Kuldra
← All areas in this guide

The Scorned Wilderness serves as the endgame raid setting for the Regicide quest where players set out to confront and slay Queen Kuldra, the God-Eater. Combatants must push through linear zones including Dragontail Vines, Fragments of Ghornfell, Shattered Stronghold, and Cataclysm Keep while solving Anima puzzles. Once inside Kuldra's Sanctum, players use Anima mechanics and resonator technology to dismantle the dragon before striking at her vulnerable heart.

Key fights

Plague King

Enemies: Plague King

Threats: Heavy melee attacks, poison status debuff on hit, and toxic hazard aura

Weaknesses and resistances: Weak to crush damage and air magic; resistant to stab

Tactics: Pop an antipoison potion beforehand, keep a safe distance using air magic or ranged weapons to kite him through the corridor chokepoint, and avoid close-quarters trading

Rewards: Sanguine Urn access, Discordant Residue, and passage forward into the inner raid corridor

Abyssal Demon

Enemies: Abyssal Demon accompanied by a swarm of add mobs

Threats: Teleportation attacks, high melee burst, and mob swarm overwhelm

Weaknesses and resistances: Standard combat resistances; susceptible to focused ranged and magic single-target damage

Tactics: Do not charge into the arena center; hold back at the entryway chokepoint and use a crossbow or ranged magic to pull and pick off the surrounding adds from a distance before burning down the demon

Rewards: Raid progression to the Cataclysm Keep checkpoints and access to the next Anima extraction zone

Queen Kuldra (The God-Eater)

Enemies: Queen Kuldra (5-headed Black Dragon), elemental dragons, and internal Heartworms

Threats: Multi-elemental breath (fire, ice, poison), sweeping high-damage Hyper Beam from the main head, and toxic floor pools around her core

Weaknesses and resistances: Immune to standard direct-weapon damage in outer phases (requires Anima Resonator siege cannon hits); Heart phase vulnerable to standard melee/ranged/magic

Tactics: Outer arena: Take cover behind green crystal pillars and solid structures during the Hyper Beam, defeat spawned elemental dragons to harvest Anima orbs, load and fire the Harmonic Resonator cannon into Kuldra to stagger her; Inner arena: Enter Kuldra's body, kill Heartworms immediately to prevent mob stacking, dodge concentric poison floor rings, and burn down the exposed Heart

Rewards: Kuldra's Head (quest item for Commander Zilyana / Regicide completion), Kuldra's Wrath wand, Dragon-tier weapons and armor, Black Dragonhide, and Ancestral equipment
