The River Lowlands is the first major settlement encountered inside the Stranger, situated directly past the arrival dam along the river. Players explore submerged and elevated wooden dwellings to uncover the history of the Owl-like inhabitants through slide reels and projection lanterns. The main objective is investigating these structures before the structural failure of the upstream dam floods the lower parts of the area.

Tips
- Visit the low-lying structures early in the loop, as the dam will eventually collapse and submerge the River Lowlands, sweeping away lightweight objects and making navigation harder.
- Pair slide reels with functional light projectors in darkened rooms to view the history of the Stranger's inhabitants.
