Eastern Kyoto (A Haunted Distraction)

Onimusha: Way of the Sword guide · Musashi returns to purge renewed Malice rifts around Yasaka Shrine

Musashi heads east through the corrupted section of Eastern Kyoto near Yasaka Shrine to aid Lady Murasaki. Players must navigate miasma-choked alleys and rooftops, destroy four Malice Plants, and eliminate waves of Genma to seal two separate Rifts. The second rift culmination forces a confrontation against Dohatsu-Ten, Heaven's Bane before the area is secured.

Boss guarding the final Rift; utilizes kicks, teleporting dashes, and absorbs stray souls to enter a Blazing state.

Tips

Quickly absorb or retrieve stray souls during the Dohatsu-Ten battle to stop him from recovering health and entering his Blazing state.
Use charged vertical strikes or ranged bow shots directly on active Rifts during enemy waves to prevent them from empowering incoming Genma.
When Dohatsu-Ten shifts into his Guard Stance, strike with a heavy weapon like the Hammer combined with Oni Strength to shatter his defense.
